The P.Audio X8-Sub active 18 inch compact loudspeaker system is designed primarily for portable sound reinforcement applications. The 18 inch low frequency woofer used in X8-Sub takes advantage of P.Audio’s years of experience in designing high power woofers with high reliability and low distortion. The internal amplifier used in the X8-Sub is a high power class D design offering 800w peak power. The cabinet is of a ported design, tuned for maximum bass impact from the enclosure. The X8-Sub amplifier employs the latest DSP technology to provide high order filtering and EQ to the transducer component. A high pass filtered line out connection at 80Hz (24dB/Octave) allows the user to link through the sub to the desired full range cabinet and ensure that the full range box is kept within it’s performance limits and ensures optimal summing at the critical bass/mid crossover point. The enclosure is of a high quality wood which makes used of internal ribs for structural support, and improved time domain performance. The system includes a ‘Top Hat’ style stand adaptor which allows for flexible mounting options. The X8-Sub is a high performance, cost effective design that excels in a variety of indoor applications.
